Easy Thanksgiving Decorations to Make With the Kids!
We came up with a cute idea for Thanksgiving decorations to make with the kids. It all starts with a couple of empty toilet paper rolls,
some construction paper and a stapler. Presto!! You've made a pair of Pilgrims that can be used as a centerpiece for your holiday table or just
as a decoration around the house.
Followe our step-by-step instructions and you won't go wrong with this craft! Take a look and see!

This craft is
super easy to make. Let's take a look at what you'll need:
Materials
Instructions:
1. Print out our templates.
Girl Pilgrim,
Girl Pilgrim's Hat, and
Boy Pilgrim.
2. Using our templates, cut out the pilgrims' bodies and clothing out of construction paper.
3. Staple the pink and black strips of construction paper around the toilet roll, as shown in picture.

4. Glue on the clothing pieces (collars, buttons, and apron for the girl, collar and button for the boy).

5. Using the markers or crayons, draw on a face.

6. Staple yarn at the top of the toilet roll, and cut to desired length. This will be your pilgrim's hair.

7. Now it's time for the finishing touches, or "how to" make the girl's bonnet and the boy's hat. Ladies first :)-here are the directions for making the bonnet!
Cut a rectangle out of white paper, 9 X 11.5 centimeters. Make a fold at the bottom of the template and cut two diagonal slits at the top.
Fold the slits in towards each other and staple.

Fold the top flap over the two stapled sides and staple to them.

Punch a hole on each side of the bonnet in front, and tie a piece of white yarn to both sides. Put the bonnet on the girl, and staple the white yarn to her body, as shown in the picture.

8. Now for the boy's hat! Using the hat template piece, staple the boy's hat to his head.
Cut a buckle for his hat out of the yellow construction paper (you can do this by cutting out a small square, folding the square in half, and then cutting another smaller square out of the middle).
