You Can Make These Popsicle Stick Puppets!

Popsicle Stick Puppets are Super Easy to Make!

Have summer fun with popsicle stick puppets. It's an easy, inexpensive craft to make with kids of all ages. Our idea came from the Nursery Rhyme Section of our site. We needed interesting crafts to bring your way and Maya came up with this Little Bo Peep trio. We hope you'll like it. And true to our motto....it's very EASY!

We used felt, pipe cleaners, yarn and wiggle eyes for these popsicle stick puppets. But you could just as easily use construction paper and some crayons and markers! That's the great thing about easy to make puppets....the sky (and your imagination) are the limit. So let's get crafting!

Okay....Are you ready? Let's get crafting!

Here's what you'll need:

Materials

A printer--our template comes in pdf form
Felt in assorted colors
Craft sticks or popsicle sticks
White yarn
Pipe cleaners
Wiggle eyes
Scissors
Glue stick, white glue or a glue gun (adult supervision required)
Markers, crayons, colored pencils (your choice)

Instructions

Print out the template.

Cut out the template pieces.

Use our pictures as reference as to the placement of the body parts.

When you're finished, glue the puppet to the popsicle/craft stick.

For the sheep's wool--Take short pieces of yarn and knot them one or two times to make little knobs. Glue them on the sheep to get the effect of lambswool.

That's it....let the glue dry before you start playing and performing with your puppets!
