Great Plastic Bag Crafts Help You Go Green!

Go Green with our Plastic Bag Crafts

We've made it easy for you to join the green revolution with these plastic bag crafts. Next time you're asked, "Paper or Plastic?" think of our recycled crafts section. For starters, we're going to show you how to make this cute butterfly.

Plastic Bag Butterfly

The idea is super simple. Here's what you'll need:

Materials

  • Paint and a paintbrush
  • A plastic bag
  • A toilet paper roll
  • 2 pipe cleaners
  • Scissors(adult supervision required)
  • Hole Puncher
  • Markers, crayons, colored pencils (your choice)
  • Stickers

Instructions

Paint your toilet paper roll any color that you want. We chose red, our favorite color!

While you let the paint dry, use your scissors to cut the plastic bag in half.

Now, if the paint has dried, use your scissors again to make two slits on both sides of the toilet paper roll.

Take the plastic bag and thread it through the slits. Arrange the bag so the it opens up to look like wings.

Using a hole puncher, make two holes at the top of the toilet paper roll.

Pull a pipe cleaner through the hole, bend to fasten. Repeat for the second hole.

Using a marker, draw two eyes and a BIG smile on the face of the butterfly.

Now decorate the wings with all kinds of stickers!

That's it....You've just made a great recycled craft! Congrats!

Before you go, there is one more thing we'd like to ask! Would you like to share your plastic bag crafts with us?

We'd love to see what you made. Maybe you "tweaked" our ideas and came up with some AMAZING results of your own!
