Make Some Easy Paper Plate Masks

Have Fun Making Paper Plate Masks!

Kids like to play "pretend" all the time and it's one of the healthiest pastimes around! Using masks for this activity is just one way for your kids to express themselves. From animal masks to Halloween masks, we've got lots of ideas. Our latest brainstorming session centered around using paper plates and this is what we came up with!

Paper Plate Masks

Want to get started? Here's what you'll need:

  • One white paper plate
  • Crayons
  • Scissors
  • Black marker
  • Gray yarn for hair
  • Glue
  • Hole punch
  • Yarn or string

Color the back of your paper plate light orange or flesh color. (Check our photo for reference).

Place the paper plate over your eyes and mark where they meet the plate. (Hope this makes sense)

Cut holes for your eyes.

Draw on a mouth, nose and glasses. (Use our picture for reference)

Cut short lenghts of gray yarn for the hair. Glue in place.

On both sides of the paper plate, punch out holes with the hole punch. Cut off a piece of yarn or string and attach to the holes. Then tie this behind your head to hold the mask in place!

That's it!
