Paper Plate Craft Sun
This paper plate craft is so versatile! Use it as a recycling project, or as a prop to talk about solar energy, the weather, the solar system...the sky's the limit on this one!
The list of materials you'll need is (as usual) a very simple one. You probably have most of the supplies laying around your house already!
Ready to get started? Let's take a look at what you'll need:
Instructions1. Paint both paper plates (bottom side of plate) yellow. Let dry.
2. Draw a face on each paper plate.
3. Cut out a bunch of triangles out of the yellow cardstock. Make sure they're big enough to look like sun rays. Staple the triangles around the back of one sun face.
4. Staple the second paper plate to the first one, so that the triangles are between the two plates.
5. Punch a hole at the top of the sun. Pull fishing wire through the hole and loop. This paper plate craft sun makes a cheerful summer decoration in any room.
Note: Get creative! Draw different faces on your sun (add moustache, sunglasses, lipstick, pirate face, whatever you can think of!)
