All set? Here's what you'll need:

Materials

  • A printer--our templates come in pdf form
  • A brown paper bag (we used lunch bags from Target)
  • Colored construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick, white glue or a glue gun (adult supervision required)
  • Wiggle eyes
  • Pompoms
  • Markers, crayons, colored pencils (your choice)

    Instructions

Click on your favorite puppet and you'll be directed to the template page. Print out the template on either plain white paper or colored construction paper.

Using your scissors, cut out the template. Color and decorate the pattern pieces in any way you wish. Make the puppet your own!

Place the brown paper bag flap side up and start gluing the pattern pieces to it. Refer to our photos for help here.

That's it....let everything dry before you start playing and performing with your paper bag puppet!

Would you like to share your puppets with us?

We'd love to see your finished product. Maybe you "tweaked" our patterns and came up with some AMAZING ideas of your own! Don't be shy.
