Cool Kids Craft Recipes!
Personally, I love the idea of combining cooking and crafting. And in my mind, it's never too early to teach kids to cook.
It doesn't have to be complicated. You probably already have all the things you'll need...a plastic mixing bowl, a wooden spoon, a bit of flour, tap water, some salt, dish washing detergent, food coloring, and maybe a spoonful of peanut butter.
Yep! Believe it or not these are the makings for salt dough, finger paints, bubbles and more!
We'll start you off with a few super easy ideas and then the rest is up to you and your kids! Have a great time.
There really are no limits when it comes to kid craft recipes. Hopefully we've covered the basics for you! And if you're still sittin' on the fence...here's a recipe to get you and the kids started! Aprons on?
liquid tempra paint
plastic squeeze bottles
Mix equal parts of flour, salt and water to form a paste.
Add paint to achieve the desired color. Make a couple of different colors.
Pour each paint mixture into a plastic squeeze bottle.
Squeeze the paint onto the posterboard and make designs with your hands or other kitchen gadgets.
Let your project dry, and then notice that the salt gives it a glistening effect. Really cool!
