ENJOY!
Indoor Valentine Tree
"Plant" a small tree branch in a vase or sturdy pot. Cut out paper hearts and have each family member write something they love about others. (Examples: "I love Mom's hugs...I love Dad's kisses....I love Jane's laugh...etc.) Hand the paper hearts from the branch and you've got an amazing easy child craft!
Valentine's Coupon Book
Give something more than the standard Valentine's Day card this year....make a holiday coupon book. Help your child decide what "gifts" he/she wants to give to others. Use colored construction paper to create redeemable coupons. Here are some examples: Good for an hour of babysitting. Redeem for a bear hug. Good for a dog walk. Good for a dozen cupcakes....etc.
Valentine Lunch Box Messages
Surprise the kids with a special valentine in their lunch box or bag. Use cookie cutters to make valentine shaped sandwiches....heart-shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Include dessert in the form of a decorated cookie with an "I love you" written in icing. Your imagination sets the limits!
Heart Puzzles
Cut out a large heart from heavy construction paper. Write a Valentine's message on it, then cut it into puzzle shaped pieces. Let your kids put the puzzle together to discover your Valentine greeting to them!
We hope that these kid valentine crafts gave you some new ideas and will help make your holiday more meaningful! Enjoy!
