Indoor Valentine Tree"Plant" a small tree branch in a vase or sturdy pot. Cut out paper hearts and have each family member write something they love about others. Give something more than the standard Valentine's Day card this year....make a holiday coupon book. Help your child decide what "gifts" he/she wants to give to others. Use colored construction paper to create redeemable coupons. Here are some examples: Good for an hour of babysitting. Redeem for a bear hug. Good for a dog walk. Good for a dozen cupcakes....etc.
Surprise the kids with a special valentine in their lunch box or bag. Use cookie cutters to make valentine shaped sandwiches....heart-shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
