Glass-glue Dreidel Ornaments
Hanukkah crafts for kids come in all shapes and sizes.
Join us in discovering the art of making stained glass Hanukkah ornaments for this year's celebration. White glue is used to make translucent (foggy, not clear) glasslike decorations for easy hanging in your window. Choose Hanukkah themed symbols like a dreidel, menorah or Magen David!

Supplies
- Pencil
- Paper
- Tape
- Cardboard
- Wax paper
- White glue
- A small disposable container
- Food coloring
- Craft sticks or plastic knife
- A small paintbrush
- Gift wrapping cord (must be pliable--not stiff!)
Instructions
- With a pencil, draw a simple design on a piece of plain paper
- Tape the paper to the cardboard
- Lay a piece of wax paper over your design and tape into place
- Pour white glue into a disposable container. Add a drop of food coloring and mix with a craft stick
- Dip a paintbrush in the glue mixture and trace the outline of your design on the wax paper
- Place the cord along the line of glue, ending with a loop at the top (for hanging your ornament)
- Pour the colored glue inside the cord outline filling in your entire design
- Allow the glue to dry completely...this will take about 3 days!
- Peel off the wax paper and hang your decoration in a window for best results
- You can use a marker to draw on your glass glue after it hardens
