Easy Christmas Ornament Craft
Here's an innovative and easy Christmas ornament craft for your kids using toilet paper rolls and bits of fabric and paper.
Holidays can be hectic, so why not plan ahead and stage a craft party with your kids? It's easy and inexpensive and will keep the kids occupied while you're busy planning for the holidays. You'll love this project because you have all the makings at home! Read the following simple instructions and you'll be pleased with the results.

Santa's Boot Ornament
Supplies:
- Toilet paper roll or paper towel roll
- Black tempra paint
- Fabric scraps
- Yellow and black construction paper scraps (or foam sheets)
- Cotton balls or fake white fur
- Glue stick, or white glue
Instructions
- Cut the toilet paper roll in half
- Paint black and let dry
- Cut fabric strips aprroximately 2.5 cm (1 inch) wide, and long enough to wrap around the TP roll
- Glue in place (around the middle of the roll)
- Cut a belt buckle from yellow construction paper (see photo above) and glue in place
- Cut out 2 oval shapes from black construction paper (these are the soles of Santa's boots)
- Glue the TP rolls onto the oval shapes
- Take cotton balls or fake fur and glue to the top of the boots
- Glue the 2 boots together
- Attach a ribbon to the back of the boots (with glue) and let dry
You're done! You've made your very own easy Christmas ornament craft to hang on your tree!
