Easter Basket Idea
A special Easter basket idea will make this holiday season even more festive for your child. Made with recyclable materials found in most homes, this project is one of many easy kid holiday craft that are inexpensive and fun to make. It can be used for collecting Easter eggs during the annual hunt, or as a party favor at your Easter shindig. However you decide to use the finished product, your child will enjoy his or her Easter child arts and crafts project.
Supplies You'll Need
- A large, empty plastic Sprite or 7-Up bottle
- Tempera paints
- Hole puncher
- Glue
- Pipe cleaners
- Markers
- Stickers and small objects for decoration
Instructions
- Rinse out the bottle and wipe dry
- Using a serrated knife, cut the bottle in half
- Punch 2 holes on opposite sides of the bottle (for your handle)
- Braid two pipe cleaners and place through the holes to form a handle
- Decorate the sides of the "basket" with markers, stickers, buttons, glitter...you name it!
- Fill with Easter "grass" and other holiday goodies
This makes a great child arts and crafts project and adapts itself well to any party theme. Have a great time with this activity.
