Would you believe that this Easter basket started out as a plastic soda bottle? Well it did! We love making crafts with recyclable materials that we find around the house.
And this project is just one of many easy kid holiday crafts that we have on our site.
Use it on Easter Sunday for collecting Easter eggs during the annual hunt, or as a party favor at your holiday shindig. However you decide to use the finished product, your child will enjoy his or her Easter child arts and crafts project.
Let's take a look at our super easy instructions! Here's what you'll need:
A large, empty plastic Sprite or 7-Up bottle
Stickers and small objects for decoration
Rinse out the bottle and wipe dry
Using a serrated knife, cut the bottle in half
Punch 2 holes on opposite sides of the bottle (for your handle)
Braid two pipe cleaners and place through the holes to form a handle
Decorate the sides of the "basket" with markers, stickers, buttons, glitter...you name it!
Fill with Easter "grass" and other holiday goodies
This makes a great child arts and crafts project and adapts itself well to any party theme. Have a great time with this activity.
