It's easy, inexpensive and starts with materials you already have at home. Couldn't be simpler than that!

Almost everyone decorates their home for Halloween. And the latest rage seems to be homemade crafts.

We're happy to jump on that bandwagon, starting off with this toilet paper roll bat. It all starts off with a cardboard tube.

Next you just print out our template, grab a bottle of glue and a pair of scissors and you're good to go. You might even come up with some of your own craft ideas for Halloween.

Ready to craft?



The idea is super easy. Let's take a look at what you'll need:

Materials

One toilet paper roll

Black construction paper

White construction paper

Two large googly eyes

Scissors

Glue

A stapler

A printer

Our template

Instructions:

1. Cut a strip of black construction paper the length and width of the toilet paper roll and staple it to the toilet paper roll.



2. Using our template, cut out the bat's wings, ears, and fangs from the black and white construction paper.


3. Staple the wings to the back of the toilet paper roll. Glue the ears to the inside top of the front of the toilet paper roll.


4. Glue the google eyes, the red pompom and the white fangs to the bat's face.


All done! Make several of these halloween bats and string them up as a Halloween garland!
