Beach Flag Art and Craft Project for Kids

Finding your way around a crowded beach can be confusing. Make this family flag art and craft project to "mark" your location on the sea shore.

Start by using a pillowcase (no sewing needed), some velcro and a broomstick. Plan the flag's decorations to best suit your family's personality. Go wild, and be assured that your kids will always be able to "navigate" their way back to the family site!

Supplies

  • A pillowcase or other material
  • Fabric paints
  • Scissors
  • Felt or fabric scraps
  • Glue
  • Velcro strips
  • Broomstick

Instructions

  • Decide on a theme for your flag
  • Paint on the fabric with fabric paints, or
  • Glue cutouts from felt or fabric scraps
  • Glue velcro to the edge of the pillowcase
  • Glue velcro to the broomstick
